Ponies of the Grayson Highland #3
These three pictures go together, so I decided to make a post just with them. The last one is one of my favorite pony photos I’ve taken.

Ponies of Grayson Highland #1 (black and white photos)
Recently I revisited Grayson Highland State Park in Virginia and, of course, visited the ponies again. It being November, they have their winter coats and, as well as being adorable, they are one of the softest animals I have ever petted. I hope you enjoy the pictures and that maybe someday you can visit the park yourself.

My guess is, she's gonna have a baby soon.

Ponies of the Highlands
A couple of months ago my family and I went to visit Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia. It’s a beautiful place and I recommend visiting, if you ever can. If you go at the right time of year (around mid September) there are lots and lots of wild blueberries and blackberries along the mountain trails. But no matter when you go, you’ll be greeted by “wild” ponies as you walk along. According to the park policy, I don’t think you are really supposed to pet the ponies, but if an adorable little pony approaches you, how can you resist? If you do pet them, please remember they are not tame animals. While petting a colt I was brawled over by a pony rump from behind when one of the ponies spooked at something.
Well, in case you can’t make it to the park for awhile, here are some pony pics for you to enjoy. Feel free to buy a print or card or send a free e-card to a friend.
