Bright Polish Girls Atop a Wall

Every once in a while you come across a local in Honduras who looks a little differently than the rest of the crowd. I like the color version and the black and white, so I’m going to post them both.

These are some pictures I took on one of my short term mission trips down to Honduras. Many of the people there don’t have much, a lot of the kids don’t have many toys, but a lot of them are still ready with a smile. You can tell by looking at some of them that some have see sadness and pain and you sometimes wonder, “Did they fall down or did something more sinister happen to this little one.”

I took these pictures a few years ago when I was on a mission trip n Honduras, I think they’re some of my favorites ever. This little girl was waiting in line with her family for a clinic the mission group was putting on, we gave out balloons and such to help pass the time. I couldn’t decide whether I like the soft or normal color better, so I’m going to post both.
The Story’s in My Eyes
A while ago a friend of mine told me I should title this picture “Unforgivable,” because these eyes spoke to him that something had been done to this boy which was unforgivable. I’m not sure what they say to me, there is a fierceness there, maybe he’s daring the world to try and hurt him, letting everyone know that he will fight back. I’m not sure; but this is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken. I took it in Honduras a few years ago while I was on a mission trip.

Bright Colors on a Wall (two girls in Poland wearing bright colors)
While I was on a mission trip in Ukraine I had to leave the country for a little bit because of visa stuff and I was able to visit Krakow, Poland. While I was there walking around one day, I saw these girls and loved how bright and cheery their clothing was, so I took a picture. I hope you like it.
Aren't their shoes and tights cool? And I love the blue hat.
